Any undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD student from any recognized college or university in India can participate. Students from all disciplines — engineering, management, design, or social sciences — are welcome to build cybersecurity solutions!
Teams must have 2 to 4 members. All team members should be students from the same or different colleges. Teams with members from different colleges/disciplines are encouraged.
No! Registration for CodeShield is completely FREE. We believe cybersecurity solutions shouldn't be held back by financial barriers. Simply register and compete to build tools that protect the public!
CodeShield is completely virtual! You can participate from anywhere in India. All phases of the competition, including mentorship sessions and the final presentation, will be conducted online. No travel required!
Not at all! iDEA 2.0 welcomes first-time hackers. We provide mentorship, workshops, and resources to help every team succeed. The best ideas come from fresh perspectives!
Your submission should include a problem statement document, a working cybersecurity tool or demo (video/live), a presentation deck (PPT/PDF), and source code repository link. Focus on building tools that help protect the public from cybercrime.
Teams are evaluated on Innovation (30%), Technical Implementation (25%), Public Impact & Usability (25%), and Presentation Quality (20%). All submissions are reviewed by our expert panel of cybersecurity professionals.
